What’s Glovo Extreme
Tech Challenge?

As regional ambassador of XTC competition, Glovo is organizing an event that aims at connecting european and asian startups with industry leaders, and identify up to three finalists to attend the May 2021 Finalist Bootcamp and Judging and the Global Finals in June 2021.

Who can apply?

The XTC Competition is open to all product or service submissions based on a new technology or an innovative application of an existing technology built by the submitting company that has potential address one of XTC’s Tech for Good categories.

Startups from countries in Europe and Asia where Glovo operates are welcome to apply to Glovo Extreme Tech Challenge.

XTC – Global finals

The XTC Competition was founded to empower entrepreneurs and their companies with resources and networking so they can scale at low to no incremental cost.

XTC Global finals will be in June 2021, where Global Winners and Special Awards Winners will be announced

What about the winners?

More information about this year’s winners can be found here, including their pitch and how winning XTC had an impact on their business’s growth.

In the final weeks before the competition, a further selection cycle will be carried out, resulting in a smaller number of finalists designated as eligible to pitch their companies to a panel of investors for the privilege of being designated one of several winners of the annual XTC competition.

XTC anticipates one winner for each Tech for Good Category as well as one winner for each of the one or more special awards that XTC may designate for the 2020-2021 Competition.

Winners will be highlighted on XTC’s website and in social media in accordance with these Official Rules and XTC’s Privacy Policy.

Advisory committee – judges

Niall Wass

Niall is an executive, investor and advisor to early and growth stage tech-enabled disruptive businesses. Currently a partner at Atomico, he’s responsible for leading new consumer investments and often advises portfolio companies on strategy & scaling.

He has been an independent chairman for Trouva and Glovo and has led Uber’s operations in 50 countries.

Beatriz Gonzalez 

Beatriz is founding and managing partner of Seaya Ventures, and also serves as board member of Idealista, Cabify and Glovo, among others.

Jacky Abitbol 

Jacky works as a Partner of Cathay Innovation. He benefits from over 17 years of advisory and operational experience in Telecommunications, Medias and Technology, with particular expertise in venture capital and corporate development.

Adrià Escolà

Adrià is leading the health and care accelerator at Ship2B, where he manages impact investment in medical tech projects.

Oscar Pierre

Oscar is CEO and Cofounder of Glovo.
